True You

Privacy & Terms

“True You shares my teachings and my own experiences: out-of-body practice, meditation, sound, dreams and the old records around them. Take what helps you and leave the rest. I am not telling you any of it is proven fact, and I can’t tell you it’s false. You decide what is true for you.” — Jacob Seth Felton

Privacy

The short version

True You keeps everything on your iPhone. There are no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. We do not collect, see, sell or share your information.

What stays on your phone

The name and answers you give in the walkthrough, birth details if you add them, your journal pages and voice recordings, your practice and night records, and your settings. They are stored inside the app on this iPhone and nowhere else.

Voice journaling

When you tap the mic, True You records your voice into your journal and writes down what you say. Your iPhone does this on the phone when it can. When it can’t, iOS may send the audio to Apple to turn it into text, under Apple’s privacy policy. True You itself never sends your recordings anywhere.

iOS asks before True You uses the microphone or speech recognition, and you can turn either off in the Settings app.

Apple Health

If you connect Apple Health, True You reads your sleep stages and overnight heart rate, heart rate variability, breathing, wrist temperature and blood oxygen to show how ready each night leaves you for practice. It only reads; it never writes to Health. What it reads stays on your iPhone and is never used for advertising or shared with anyone. You can turn access off in the Health app at any time.

Backups

Like any app’s data, what True You keeps can be included in your iPhone’s own backups to iCloud or a computer. Those backups are yours and Apple’s, not ours.

Links to other sites

Some pages open outside websites, such as the government reading room that holds the declassified records. Those sites have their own privacy policies.

Deleting your information

Deleting True You from your iPhone erases everything it kept. We never had a copy, so there is nothing for us to delete.

Children

True You is not made for children under 13.

If this changes

If True You ever adds accounts or anything else that leaves your phone, this policy and its date will change before that version is released.

Terms

Teaching, not medicine

True You is spiritual teaching and personal experience. It is not medical, psychological or other professional advice, and it does not diagnose, treat or cure anything. Never delay or stop care because of something you read or practiced here.

If you have epilepsy or have ever had a seizure, have a heart condition or a sleep disorder, or live with anxiety, dissociation or a psychosis-spectrum condition, talk with a doctor before you practice. If you are in crisis, call or text 988 in the US, or your local emergency number.

Practice safely

Practice only lying down or sitting somewhere safe. Never listen to the frequencies or practice while driving, operating machinery or doing anything that needs your full attention. Keep the volume low, and stop whenever you feel unwell.

Experiences, not promises

The experiences described in True You, including Jacob’s own, are personal accounts. Everyone’s experience is different and no result is promised. The abilities and frequencies are described the way the teaching and the traditions hold them, not as scientific findings.

The Records

The Records are declassified documents released by the US government. The summaries are ours. A document being released does not mean any agency agrees with what is in it. True You is not affiliated with or endorsed by the CIA, the US Army, any government agency or the Monroe Institute.

Your use

You choose how to use what you find here, and you are responsible for that choice. True You is offered as it is, without guarantees. As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for harm that comes from using the app or relying on what it says.

These terms sit alongside Apple’s standard license agreement for App Store apps. If they change, the date above will change too.
